    the forty stone of oats on top of him: he was so badly broken up he was never able to work again. There was another man in this townsland who was a great runner. He ran to Dublin and back again a distance of sixty miles in twenty four hours. He kept up with the mail packet some of the way. When they would stop to change horses he would let go the rope and start on ahead. That evening everyone was surprised to see him in the football field taking his place with the team. His name was Ton Skelly.
