    strained from the grated potatoes when making boxty, was saved in a wooden pail. After an hour the water was strained off leaving the starch on the bottom. Then get a clean pot with a half-gallon of clean boiling water, lift out into this two handfuls of the starch and let it boil a few minutes. This made a strach for linen table cloths, to starch a shirt front or collar less water and more starch is used as it must be stronger to stiffen.
