    passing would go astray There are no shoe makers in this locality but there is one in Legan named Patrick Mc Donald and two or three in Ballymahon who repairs boots for this district There was a tan-yard in Ballymahon where leather was tanned The owner of it was Mr Doudall Boots were all made by the Shoemakers in former times and a lot of leather was required Nearly every district had a tanyard
