  1. If you had sore eyes they say to get tea leaves and bathe your eyes and they will get better.
    There is another cure for a pain in your ear, it is said if you dip a piece of cotton wool in the sap of an ash stick that is in the fire, put it into the ear and pain will go.
    If you get a sting of a nettle they say to get a docken and put it where you got the sting and say "docken, docken cure the sting of a nettle and the sting will go.
    There is a cure for boils, if you boil oil-cake in a pot and let it cool then put it on, the boils will go.
    For a cold we often boil butter-milk with sugar and drink it.
    If you had a pain in your stomach people say to lie across a stool.
