- Easter Sunday is the end of Lent. People eat a lot of eggs on that day. Sometimes children buy Easter eggs. People get up very early on that morning to see the sun dancing as it is supposed to dance with joy.
- Shrove Tuesday is the last day before Lent and we always have a great feast on that night. The mother makes a great big dish of pancakes and she puts a ring in the batter. Whoever gets the ring will be married first.
- Children put a bit of a rag or a bit of paper behind on the coat of someone that is not looking so that everyone that sees that person would laugh at him. These are called ash bags.
