  1. There is a big stone in Inchboffin. It is three hundreds weight. It is said that it takes a very strong man to move it It shaped like an ounce of tobacco. A man named Pat Slevin moved it. He was about twenty-five years when he moved it. He is now dead.

  2. There was a great lot of weight throwing done in Ballinacliffey. They used to throw half-hundred weights and sledges in Conell's field. The men used to collect in the Summer evenings to throw the weight. They would mark a place to stand at and then swing the weight with all their strength. Willie McElinn was
