    Shooting of Daniel
    Daniel owned all the lands round here long ago. He seized the lands belonging to Ganleys and Keatings now. When Daniel was passing by Kilcomer a man named Ganley fired on him but he did not injure him. Then Ganley took across the fields to Athlone and he met Daniel in the bridge and saluted him and Daniel said "You did it well this morning Ganley" Then Daniel reported it at the barracks

    Then Ganley was arrested and sent to prison and was tried but was not
