  1. When the seventh son is born it is said that his father or mother puts a worm in his hand and if the worm dies he is supposed to have some cure.

    Thomas Fitzgerald a native of Castledaly has a charm for curing eresiplisis or lifting the palet of the mouth. Lifting the palet of the mouth, which is done by lifting a certain hair on the top of the head.

  3. A black snail if found when not looking for it. Rubbed three times on the wart. The wart will disappear.
