  2. Once upon a time there lived a man by the name of Feenan in Ballykieran, Co. Westmeath. He was very fond of fishing and one day while fishing he stuck a spear in a large fish but the fish got away.
    That night about twelve o'clock a knock came to Feenan's door. At the door was a strange man who begged Feenan to come with him - he wanted him (Feenan) to pull out a spear from his daughter's eye. Feenan was frightened
