    To match him during life says the fair haired lad
    And the maid is young and fair
    And she curls up her hair
    Poor Larry to ensnare

    He can badly do without her
    For he always raves about her

    I'm sure she'll suit his taste
    for she's lovely, mild and chaste
    And quite slender round the waist
    says the fair haired lad
    Her eyes as dark as shoes, says the fair haired lad,
    And her hair is like to those, says the faire haired lad
    She is light upon her feet
    She is dandy, spruce and neat
    and in manners so complete says the fair haired lad
