  1. We have a lot of stairs on our farm. They never leave Ireland at any time of the year. They fly in flocks. They build their nests in chimneys or under the eaves of houses. If you split a stair's tongue he will be able to speak like a human being when taught to do so.
    The swallow and cuckoo come in April. The latter never builds a nest but lays her eggs in another birds nest. The swallow builds in the cow shed. If you interfere with a swallow's nest there will be blood in the cows milk.
