  1. Folklore
    Fort
About half a mile from our house their is a fort called "Liss na muice". It is in the middle of a big fiend and is surrounded by thorny bushes. In the middle of it there is a lone bush. The bush is called "sgeach na muice" and it is said that every night at twelve o'clock a black pig comes from under the the bush and runs round all the land of Kilmacnevin. The old people say that it was foretold that as a sign of the end of the world the black pig will run by daylight and that the first to see him will wither away with fright.
