    the western province. It was a case of the "Gael" coming back to his own. As a result we have less household Gods, less racial pride and less traditional folklore than there is in the parts of the country where the old clan system inspired (?) has not even yet become quite extinct. Where there is less racial national pride there is less rivalry(?), and less inherited hatreds. The aim of a patriot should be to break down all forms of hatreds in the minds of his countrymen.
