  1. I live in the centre of the village of Ballynacargy. The street I live in is called Main Street.
There are about twenty four houses in Main Street. There are twenty three slated ones, and one thatched one. There are all two storey houses except two, there is one a three storey and another a one storey. The three storey is owned by Mr. Murtagh and the one storey thatched house is owned by Mrs. O'Regan who lives in Rath.
There are only three people over seventy in Main Street namely, Miss Mary McCormack and her sister, and Mr Halligan. They don't know Irish.
