In a place near Moyvore there was a pot of gold found nearly 100 years ago by a farmer named John Mulvanny.
He was hunting a cow out of a village field. He went over to the ditch to get a stick to drive the cow. He pulled up a small bush by the roots and the pot of gold was under the roots.
The present occupier of the farm is Michael Mulvanny grandson of John Mulvanny. The pot is in the house still. It is made of bronze. The place where it is was found is called "poia óir"
