    The principal crop sown by the farmers long ago was the potato crop.
    Long ago the farmers sowed three acres of land under potatoes, but nowadays the farmers only sow an acre of potatoes.
    The land was prepared with a spade long ago, and now it is prepared with a a plough, and the potatoes varries each year according to the weather.
    Long ago the potatoes were sown in ridges, but nowadays but nowadays they are sown in drills.
