    As there are still many thatched houses in this district thatching is a common occupation. Our house is thatch and a man named George Dermody thatches every year for us.
    This is how he does it. First he gets scollops or bog sallies and points them with a knife. Straw is pulled and shaken. He takes the bow up the ladder and sticks it in the
