  1. If the Godfather of a child puts a red string around the child's neck it will cure the Hooping-cough.
    Wart.
    If a person puts a snail on a tree and according as the snail withers the wart will wither too. Another cure is to get a straw or stone and bury it after rubbing the effected part with it, but whoever first walks on the straw or stone after will get the wart.
