    got tired they changed him and put another in his place.
    The third way they travelled was with the stage coach. This was drawn by five or six horses & when a stage coach into a town it always blew its horn. This is how they travelled mostly the women were inside in the stage coach and the men outside.
    At night the stage coach did not travel much it stopped at hotels and they lodged in these hotels. So it was great for anyone who could have a hotel for they'd earn a lot of money.
    Long years ago there was a stage coach which went from Dublin to Galway & it passed through Tyrrellspass.
    About a hundred & fifty years ago a man named John Payne & his daughter Margaret had a hotel here where Mr Clarke lives now.
    Mr John Payne was a yoeman & he fought in the battle of KIllbeggan. Our teacher has his sword still.
