  1. A Local Happening.
A man named John Fallon owned a field in Aughasa. One sunday his workman came to work and John did not stop him. He yoaked the horses and went out to plough the field. There was a well in the field and the man was ploughing around it. Suddenly one horses foot slipped in and pulled in the other horse and the plough and the man. The handles of the plough can still be seen on a fine day.
