    You all know right well
    He went to the fair
    A bay colt for to sell
    And when he reached there
    He trotted her gay
    And twenty two guineas
    He was bid for the bay.

    That Mick Dignam was in
    He asked to take it
    Or trot him again
    He went back to the dealer
    Without any delay
    And this to the horse dealer
    Quickly did say.
    Give me the money
    The bay is not mine
