  1. Many old crafts were carried on in the olden times such as basket making, pipe making candle making, and (the) making linen and linsey and the making of lids of pipes.

  2. In this way a turf basket was made. A number of strong sally rods are got. Then some of them are plaited to make the rim, then a few thick rods are put across the middle of the basket and are fastened well to the rim, then some thin rods are plaited between thick rods.
