  1. The townland of Priestown is situated beside Scarden. It is said that there are five Priests buried in a field there. Here also there is splendid example of rath High, circular and surrounded by a deep trench.
    Saint Patrick's well is about halfway between this Rath and "Croc an Eirige" (Airgid). Close to the Rath is the Church-yard of Scarden, still used and having the remaining walls of a Church still standing.
