  1. There is a hill near Killucan called Howard Hill. It is near Cnoc Sidhe Bán to the north side of Killucan. It got its name from a man named Howard Featherston. He was a very bad Land Lord and cruel to his tenants. He was coming from Dublin with written papers to evict his tenants.
The tenants knew that he went to Dublin and why he went. They lay hiding at this hill and when he was coming from the station in a carriage Thy shot him. Since then it bears his name.
