  1. In honour of the five bleeding wounds
    Nailed to a tree
Merciful Jesus have mercy on me
that God that sent us God will keep
    through this night and day.
Here I lie down to sleep
I give my soul to God to keep
If I die before I wake I give my soul to God to take
It any evil comes to me
    Blessed Virgin save me
There are four corners on this bed
there are four Angels over it spread
Mattew, Mark, Saint Luke and John
God Bless this bed that I lie on
Lord be my branch, Lady be my flower
Jesus be with me at my last dying hour.
