    Here are some of the names of the fields:-
    "Croc Beaga"
    "Croc Fillí"
    "Croch na bPóll"
    "Croch Corr,
    "Clon Castle" and
    Sra na bPóll
    "Clon Ebherán" is another Irish name for a farm in Killallon.
    "Cill Álluinn" is the proper name for Killallon. Chíll Álluinn means the Beautiful Church".

    In Johnstown Killskyre there is a hill known by the name of "Whistle Hill". There is as a story attached to this hill, and here it is:-

    During the "Penal Days" when the priests were not allowed to say Mass, this priest had an alter behind a hedge. And while the priest used to be saying Mass, boy scouts used be on guard on this hill and
