- (continued from previous page)the whole shop and residence were burned to the ground. Nobody knows how the fire occurred, but it is said that boxes of matches were left beside a tank of oil. Mice nibbled at the matches, and lit them, and then the oil and the whole shop took fire.
- The Workhouse in Delvin was burned in the year 1925. It was burned by the Irregulars.
