  1. The treasure is supposed to have been hidden in the bog in Clonmaskil. Attempts were made to unearth it by Mary Partridge, but she did not get it.
    It consists of money in gold, as much gold as would fill two horses carts. A bull is supposed to safeguard this treasure, and when the persons who attempts to dig for the gold enters the bog the bull charges at him; but if he has Holy Water with him, and shakes it on the animal he cannot touch him.
    Lights have not been seen where the treasure is hidden.
