  1. Treasure is supposed to be hidden in a field called the "Crochán" belonging to James Coffey. It was hidden by the Danes. for safety. Attempts have never been made to unearth it. The treasure consists of gold amounting to twenty thousand pounds. People have never been enabled to find it by eating certain foods. A' leipreachan' is supposed to safeguard this hidden treasure, because he was seen. Lights have never been seen where the treasure is hidden.
