- If the early morning is sunny, we may expect a wet afternoon.If the day does not change before two oclock it will hold up for the rest of the day. A halo round the moon means rain. It is a sign of rain when the stars are blurred or watery looking. When the clouds are high we have fine weather, but when they are low we may expect wet weather.
When the wind is from the South & West we have rain.
The East wind brings sickness.
When we see the seagulls in the fields it is stormy at sea.
The curlews call for rain.
When we see a flock of wild ducks we are in for severe weather.
