In Mrs. Hegarty's field, at Ballinaskea, Moortown Devlin Mor, Co. Westmeath, there is a mound of earth. In the mound are two gaps, called sheep-gaps and there is said to be a stray and between the sheep gaps and a flag as well. Some time ago, men went to look for gold there, but that when they put the crowbar into the ground blood shot up and the crowbar was pulled down into the ground.Ellentown Fort. Delvin Mor, Co. WestmeathThere is a large fort in a field called Ellentown, which is at present owned by Miss Chapman. There are two rings round the fort and four openings. In between the two rings are two lone bushes. There is a pile of stones on the top of the fort, as well as a big ash tree.Killadoran Fort, Delvin Mor,In a field owned by Murray's, Killadoran, Delvin, is a large fort.
