    On the top of the hill of Gillardstown there stands a very large fort. There are two ditches of clay around it and it is covered with bramble, white-thorn bushes, furzes and wild sally trees. It is circular in shape. From the top of it can be seen three forts Ran Dún, on the northern side, one on the western side and one on the southern side. The three of them are about a mile from this fort
