  1. There are treasures supposed to be hidden in Lord Mortimer's castle on the shores of Derravaragh. It is said by old people of the neighbourhood that the castle was inhabited up to the time of Cromwell. Cromwell's army shelled it from Donore castle and it is said there are treasures hidden under ground. No attempts have yet been made to search for those treasures.
    The treasure consists of silver vessels. No one knows the amount or value of those treasures.
    Lights have been seen coming in off the lake and flying around the castle.
    Some years ago stones were thrown by unknown people at night fall at strangers around the castle also two little women were seen with an umbrella over them by an old man who is alive still
