    With the soldiers of brave Owen Roe
    And hurriedly marching to meet him
    Press forward the troops of Munroe;
    With Scots from the Clyde and Loch Lomond
    And Puritan spears from the Tweed
    O'er the hills of Stradone and old Laragh
    And the meadows of Arva thy speed.

    Fierce Rovers and raides full many,Are vainged neath the flag of the Scot,
    And their pathway is marked by the
    burning of rafter in castle and cot.
    They reined not their steeds stood before them.
    Fair Granard loomed up in their way then with bright Shining banners and bayonets.
    They half at the Bridge of Finea.
