  1. The old people say that when the wild geese are (crying?) on the banks of the lake that it as a sure sign of rain or storm.
    When they would see a rainbow in the sky they would be fretting the thunder and lighting would come.
    They would say that when the wind would be coming form the East that it would be a sign of storm and they would be gathering in their (crops?)
    The North wind is the surest sign of snow and hail, because when the wind is blowing from the North the snow usually comes.
