It is said that when this man was living the little men would come in through the door and it locked. This is a thrue story told about Paddy McCabe who lived in Ballymanaus years ago.

    Whern is about 4 miles from this school. It has the ruins of an old abbey with part of a round tower. There is a burial ground around the ruins.
