  1. Eighty or ninety years ago my grandfather Mr Pat Carolan was ploughing his field at the hill of Rath. In this field there was supposed to be a green patch called the green sod. As he was finished ploughing this sod he looked back and it was green again. He went on ploughing and did not mind. After a while it got dark and he heard the sound of hourses hooves behind him. He looked back and saw a pair of hourses ploughing guided by a black naked man with horns. He went on with his plough and the other man followed him but did not speak nor did the man. When he went back to the sod he disappered into
