  1. Hugh Doyle of Loughanbren was a great jumper he was able to jump into one barrel and jump out again into another barrel and out again. There was a jump made for him at Archerstown house, the men of Archerstown house heeled up a cart and he jumped out through the back band. Peter Fryeary of Sarahstown was noted for weight lifting. Once when he was working on the bog of Brownstown he lifted an ass over a drain three feet wide in his arms. John Homes of Brownstown carried a barrel of oats a half a mile.
