    Killallon hill in storied Meath

    Killallon hill in storied Meath
    Look rather royal plain
To where afar in distant blue
    Bloom Dublin's mountain chain
But nearer still by woodlands skirt
    Rise Tara's ramparts high
The fairest scene where e're you stray
    Beneath an irish sky.
    And in Killallon's lonely hill
    A stately church has stood
With towering belfrey old and grey
    Above the beech(am) wood
Has stood for just twice forty years
This Church so old and grey
The dearest spot on earth to me
    And thousands far away.
