  1. There is only one forge in this district. The blacksmith's name is Dick Farrell. It is situated at the Sally Garden cross. The roof of the forge is made of canvas. There is only one fire in it in which he reddens the irons. In the forge there is a trough of water in which he cools the irons. It is said if forge water is rubbed to sore eyes it will cure them.
