  1. In our district it is the custom to make a St Brigid's cross on the 31th of January. Usually these crosses are put over the doors of cowsheds so that St Brigid's blessing will fall upon the cows.
    St Patrick's Cross is made from green ribbon and people wear it in breast on St. Patrick's day.
