  1. One night as James Russell was going to look at cattle, and as he was coming through Carney's field, he stepped on a stray sod, and as he couldn't get the gap to get out in another field. He went round and round the field and still couldn't get the gap. At last he thought he felt the gap, but still he went on. At last he felt the iron bars of the gap and he got out in the other field. He was out from half-past nine till five past-three.
