    Next day the bargain was completed and the soldier remained round the town for a few day's and during this time some one pointed out to him the farm which he had been tricked into selling and which was of first class quality. In his despair the soldier hanged himself at a crossroads near by. This crossroads is still called "The Soldier's Cross"
