- (continued from previous page)There is very few dash-churns in the district now they are all twisters. Long ago there was nothing but dash churns. When the butter is taken of the churn the buttermilk is used for making bread, and for feeding pigs and calves.
It is usual for everyone to take a turn of the churning if they are in a house where churning is going on and if they did not no butter would on the churn.- Collector
