  1. The landlord of this district was Colonal Brodigan. He did not live in this district, he lived in England and an agent collected his rent. He was a good landlord as he charged fair rents which his tenants were able to pay. It was Cromwell who gave the land to the Brodigan family. All the tenants of this estate have now their farms bought out.
    In some districts tithes were collected and given to the Protestant Church but there were no tithes collected in this district.
    Another landlord was Lord Mayo. He too got the land from Cromwell. He was a very bad landlord. He charged too high a rent and he also threatened to raise it higher. The tenants were not able to pay the rent so he evicted them all and set the land. For a long time nobody took the land and it lay there useless, but after some time a man
