  1. There are many old stories I know but the one I like best is about a haunted house in my own townland and which is in the townland of Gernonstown near Slane Co. Meath.
    This house lies in a very lonely part of the country far away from any other houses. It is down a long lane and surrounded by woods and to make it more lonesome there is a graveyard almost beside it. All the old people living in the vicinity tell hundreds of tales about this house which would put the hair standing on your head. This house was supposed to be built by one of the Cromwell planters away back in the
