  1. Cure for Chin Cough (Whooping)
    1. Get husband + wife of the same name to present the patient with a gift e.g. wife's maiden name was May Davoren before she married John Davoren.
One of this pair comes to the house of patient + presents her with a piece of bread, or a cake, or a lump of sugar (any little gift in fact) and this ensures the childs recovery.
    Another Cure
    2. Meet a piebald pony on the road + ask the owner for a cure for the chin cough. Whatever he says will effect a cure If he says "Give her a drink of milk etc". that will be the cure in that instance.
    3. Another cure
If the male sponsor in Baptism buys a red ribbon + ties it round the neck of the child.
