  1. The local fairs are held in Navan, Kells, Ardee and Nobber. The fair in Nobber used to be held on a Monday. A lot of people began to fight and a man with a slashing hook cut the head of another man. The next fair that was held the head danced on the fair green and said "Nobber no more on a Monday." It is held on a Tuesday instead. Every month it is held in Nobber.
