  1. The most harmful weeds are Robin round the ditches, groundsel, hemlock, thistles, and dandelion. They spread quickly and impoverish the soil. Some people boil nettles and drink the water for colds. Nettles are given to turkeys and groundsil is given to chickens. Thistles grow on good land and rushes grow on bad land. The people give evelin to their pigs.

  2. The most harmful weeds are groundsel, chicken weed, robin round the hedge, crow foot, Lady of five fingers, dandelions. All of those weeds spread. Most of the weeds impoverish the soil. The field with a lot of butter-cups growing in it is a good field. The crow foot weed is good for a cough. The weed is boiled and the water is drunk for the cough. Some people eat nettles they take as medicine and other people use it the same as cabbage.
