    If a person was leaving a house, the people in the would say:
    "Beannacht leat".

    If a person was going to pass the night in some other house they would say:
    "I'm going for a "céilídh"..

  2. It is customary to put your boots in the form of a T when you are going to bed on Hallow Eve and say "I put my boots in the form of a T hoping tonight my true-love to see, the colour of his hair and the clothes he does wear, and his fair face turned to me."
